'Qui-est 'je'?'/'Je est un autre' (Rimbaud). This option examines the theory and practice of modern and contemporary autobiography in French. Key social, philosophical and literary movements and issues relating to existentialism, feminism, the new novel, post-structuralism and post-colonialism will be studied in conjunction with the relevant texts.
