Spanish for Non-Specialists, Level 2B (HS0009)

Second semester. This course is designed for students who already have significant knowledge of Spanish. The numbers admitted to this course are limited to 25.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : A pass at 55% or above in Spanish Language Level 1 or Spanish at Standard Grade or equivalent evidence of proficiency.

? Prohibited combinations : No students on programmes owned by DELC will be admitted to these courses.

? Special Arrangements for Entry : Priority to enroll will be given as follows;
1. Students from College of Science and Engineering, College of Medecine and Veterinary Medecine, and visiting students.
2. Students from College of Humanities and Social Sciences, but from outwoth School of LLC.
3. Students from School of LLC, but outwith DELC.
No students on programmes owned by DELC will be admitted to this course.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Following Spanish level 1, this course will further develop your knowledge of the language in a wide variety of situations using more complex vocabulary and grammar.

Assessment Information

Regular written exercises in class and two class tests (weeks 4 and 8), worth 40% and a degree exam worth 60%.
