Acronym : LAW-P-LW0002 The course is an introduction to the legal system of Scotland and its interaction with those of England & Wales, the United Kingdom and the European Union, and to the substantive law of these systems as they affect business transactions, in particular contracts, insurance, the supply of goods and services, banking, agency, delictual (tortious) liability, debt enforcement (diligence) and insolvency. The course aims
to familiarize students with the basic content and principles of the law relating to business transactions to enable them to identify and resolve at a basic level legal issues arising in such transactions to enable them to understand and use in both speech and writing common legal concepts and principles Students shouldbe familiar with and able to deploy at a basic level the content, principles and concepts of the law relating to business transactions, in particular to identify correctly the legal issues arising in such transactions; have knowledge and understanding of the basic content and principles of the law relating to business transactions.
