Dynamics of Group Behaviour (NS0027)

This course aims to provide students with a shared experience of group dynamics. Learning is mainly through experience and reflection, with some lectures. Students take part in a group facilitated by a lecturer. The students keep a reflective diary of this experience. Each week students co-reflect with another member of the group. At the end of the experiential group students choose five themes that arose. These are then discussed in seminars and lectures in the second semester..

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course the student will be able to co-reflect. Analyse group behaviour.
Develop an awareness of won behaviour within a group.
Be familiar with the major group theories.


Assessment Information

Two course papers of 2,500-3,000 words
