Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Students should be in command of 2000 characters, with vocabulary encompassing most general situations and discipline specific topics. They should be equipped with sufficient written and spoken Modern Standard Chinese to conduct business with Chinese colleagues and to carry out research with original Chinese documents.

Assessment Information

Formative assessment by coursework. Summative assessment by oral (30%) and written examinations in May.
