This course will deal with general research methods and procedures in the Humanities: bibliographic tools, databases, citation of others' work, use of computers etc.

Attendance at the series of research seminars organised by Music is a mandatory part of this course.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will have assimilated various methods and procedures for carrying out research in Humanities subjects. This will have attended a series of seminars and reflected critically on their own proposed research programme.

Assessment Information

Preparation of an annotated bibliography on a chosen topic and other coursework assignments.
