History of Muslim-Christian Dialogue (to 1800) (P00338)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : LLC-P-P00338 This course examines the history of Muslim-Christian relations from the rise of Islam until the end of the eighteenth century. The course will begin with Muhammad's relations with Christians, and will focus on Qur'anic material which deals with Jesus, Christians and Christianity. It will then move on to early Christian reponses to Islam, the interaction between medieval European Christians and Muslims, and early Orientalism.
