Language and Society in the Middle East (P00346)

? Credit Points : 20  ? SCQF Level : 11  ? Acronym : LLC-P-P00346

The aim of this course is to examine the relationship between language and society and between language and power. Using examples from the Middle East, the course analyses language as an instrument of control, persuasion, and coercive power, as well as a form of social and political action.
