An Introduction to New Religious Movements (P00526)

? Credit Points : 20  ? SCQF Level : 11  ? Acronym : DIV-P-P00526

The course will use a two-pronged approach. In the first place, case studies of specific movements will be examined: the movements looked at in this way will include two African independent churches - the amaNazaretha of Isaiah Shembe and the Kimbanguist Church - the Rastafari movement from the Caribbean, and the Unification Church from Korea. Secondly, major themes in the emergence of these movements will be examined.
