Acronym : DIV-P-P00544 The course is designed to enable postgraduate students to understand and critique key figures and approaches in twentieth century and contemporary Christian ethics, to deepen skills in Christian moral reasoning, and to mobilise such skills in relation to contemporary moral issues such as international conflict and its representation in the mass media. Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The course participants should be able to do the following:
Expound, compare, and critically discuss major alternative approaches to Christian ethics in the twentieth century. Critically discuss key concepts of Christian ethics and relate these to the practices of the church and of Christians. Articulate alternative visions of the theological character of Christian ethics and the moral witness of the church in society. Display a capacity for moral reasoning in relation to contemporary moral problems. Assessment Information
