Students will evaluate the material which they have gleaned in the Historical Context course and will identify the main historiographical developments and debates relevant to their specific subject. They will write an assignment of 6,000 words on this subject.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will acquire:
- A detailed knowledge and understanding of the central historiographical issues of their individual area of research.
- An appreciation of the historiographical context of their individual area of research.
- The ability to conduct and critically assess historical research utilising historiographical skills specific to the subject area of their research.
- The ability to assimilate and process a wide range of information from a variety of historical interpretations.
