Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Critically evaluate approaches to the provision of care and support for the bereaved.
Evaluate the contribution of key theories in relation to loss.
Appraise the characteristics of complicated grief and discuss their application to those at risk of poor bereavement outcome.
Appraise the implications of death and bereavement at various stages of the life cycle.
