Students will organise with their supervisor/s a programme of meetings in which they will be introduced to the main relevant primary sources in their chosen area of research in Classics. Where appropriate a language training course can be taken or Computers for Historians or any of the taught options listed under the taught MSc in Classics.

To advance the understanding of using primary and secondary sources, in the self-contained year of a one-year degree.
To develop students' knowledge of the Greek or Latin languages.
The acquisition of basic statistical and computing techniques for data collection and analysis.
