Professional Development and Practice-Based Enquiry (P00760)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : EDU-P-P00760 This module provides an introduction to the process and methodology of professional development pursued through the APS programme. It provides the opportunity for course members to analyse critically the concept of professionalism and to reflect on a number of issues which affect professional standing and have implications for professional development. Course members will consider a number of approaches to professional development and practice-based enquiry and will discuss their value and relevance within their own professional setting. - Enagage in critical discussion of the nature of professionalism
- Analyse key professional issues as they impact on professional life - Evaluate a number of approaches to professional development and practice-based enquiry - Evaluate own previous and current experience and use this analysis as a basis for a professional development action plan - Show how social policy issues might impact on professional standing and professional development needs Assessment Information
1) Literature Review on the nature of professionalism or on one aspect of continuing professional development within their professional area (2500 words)
