This course aims to introduce students to some of the key philosophical thinkers and their thought. The course typically covers the early modern period - Berkeley, Hume - and Kant, together with Aristotle.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

The course aims to develop students' knowledge of the historically important figures, and their ability to argue and write philosophy. The teaching is seminar based, and each week students will have to prepare by reading set work.

Take-home exam and one 3,000 word essay
