Sonic Spaces (P01210)

This is a studio-based course in which students develop skills in designing a sonic environment: a building, pavillion, installation, or system that explores the relationship between spaces and sound.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Understanding of
- the creative possibilities of relating sound and space
- the complex relationship between the senses, particularly the audile and the visual sense, in a design context

Skills in
- using digital media in the design and presentation of sonic environments

Preliminary design (30%)
Final design (70%)
