Personnel Economics (P01211)

The course's aim is to make students familiar with the ideas behind the Economics of Personnel and their origins. It will highlight present areas of more active research within the Economics of Personnel, and indicate where new projects may be formulated. The objective will be to enable students to formulate their own research projects within this area. Specific areas covered will include internal labour markets, competition within organisations, team work and remuneration schemes, promotion and progression and executive pay.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : Macroeconomics 1 and 2, Quantitative Methods 1 and 2 and Microeconomics 1 and 2 OR courses deemed equivalent by Programme Director
