Acronym : EDU-P-P01469 Issues and Strategies for learning and teaching are a priority independent of stage or subject in the curriculum. This course addresses choices to be made to ensure that appropriate teaching methods and media of communication are used in the education of children and students with ocular or cerebral visual impairment, including those with additional disabilities or impairments. On completion of this course participants will demonstrate competency in:
1. Choosing teaching methods and media of communication that is suitable for each learner as appropriate. 2. Designing, producing, presenting and evaluating material in the appropriate medium, size and environmental conditions for the learners, by using both traditional methods and ICT. 3. Working collaboratively with others to maximise the mobility and potential methods and ICT. Assessment Information
A. A case study of approximately 1000 words, demonstrating the application of theoretical input of this course in the choice of assessment, planning and intervention with an individual or group of students.
and B. An essay of 4000 words, illustrated by examples from the course member's context of work where aspects of current policy and practice are examined in the light of recent research.
