Acronym : ACE-P-P01818 This is a directed reading course for examining theoretical and philosophical issues pertaining to media, culture, computing, visual and interaction design, sound design, music, film, visuality or other areas agreed beetween the student and a supervisor. Students may be required to participate in seminars. ? At the end of the course students will be able to
- write, present and converse knowledgably and critically on current social, cultural and theoretical issues at an advanced level - compare and evaluate different theoretical positions - critically evaluate texts and arguments - embark on a self-directed programme of advanced research - demonstrate delailed familiarity with at least 6 substantive texts in the areas of media and culture Assessment Information
There will be one interim and one final submission amounting to 5,000 words of text.
