Core Topics in First Millennium Studies (P01830)

The course provides a critical overview of key areas of scholarly attention and debate of general interest to students of the first millennium. It is taught by a team of scholars with different disciplinary backgrounds, based both within and outwith History and Classics.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will have explored the scholarship surrounding different 'core topics' and contemplated the relationships between their particular area of interest and wider scholarship.

Assessment Information

One essay of 2000-3000 words, counting as 100% of the final course mark.
