Complementary Therapies in Healthcare (P01845)

The course will examine the potential benefits of complementary approaches to both physical and psychological well being. complementary therapies employed by all members of the multi-disciplinary team will be explored. Approaches taken will seek to reflect the growing use of complementary therapies in the healthcare setting.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Critically appraise the integration of complementary therapies into the traditional healthcare setting.
To debate the safety and regulation of complementary therapies.
Evaluate the evidence-base for efficacy of complementary therapies.
