The course examines the many functions fulfilled by saints cults in late medieval Scotland at both the national and local level. The principal objective of the course is to provide students with specialist knowledge and understanding of the cult of saints in late medieval Scotland. Students will emerge from the course having developed a sufficient degree of expertise in the subject to undertake a Masters dissertation.
Assessment Information
An essay of 2000-3000 words on an approved topic, counting as 100% of the final course mark.
