Advanced Gaelic: Development of Prose Style (P01888)

The Module will involve students in an examination of the development of Gaelic prose style in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and undertaking the challenge of enriching contemporary usage.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : Successful completion of an Honours degree programme in Scottish Gaelic language/literature.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will emerge from the course with an advanced understanding of recent developments in Gaelic prose style, and an appreciation of issues surrounding contemporary usage and its enrichment.

Assessment Information

An essay of 2000-3000 words, counting as 100% of the final course mark.
