Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course students will:
Have an understanding of different types of qualitative data and data sources Have an understanding of the theoretical, methodological and software issues relating to good qualitative research practice. Have an understanding of managing, coding and retrieving qualitative data Have an understanding of how to develop a qualitative analysis Have an understanding of CAQDAS packages and their use. Have experienced using CAQDAS software for the analysis of qualitative data Assessment Information
Self-tests and practical exercises which students will work through during the course will build towards the final assessment in the form of a written research report. Students will be required to complete an analysis of a nominated set of data and critically reflect on their data management and analysis and on their use of CAQDAS software.
