Acronym : SPS-P-SPS This course serves an introduction to a range of policy and management issues related to the massive uptake of ICTs in society, business and government. It will focus on the way that the Internet and other related technologies, such as mobile phones, are being integrated into every level of social and political life, and the resulting challenges for individuals, government, business and social research. ?

Students can recognise, outline and evaluate key theoretical perspectives that have been developed in relation to the Internet.
Students can identify and critically engage with current technical, policy and business issues related to the Internet, using a range of recent evidence. Students can evaluate policy and management strategies in relation to these issues, using a range of theoretical tools from technology studies and other social science disciplines.
