This course is intended to complement existing courses by examining the governance of the EU by analysing its economic policies rather than as a discreet international legal order. The course will equip students with the critical skills required to understand EU governance and policy, thereby going beyond the learning outcomes conventionally expected to result from the study of EU law. Accordingly, it will assist place EU law in the context of the economic challenges confronting the EU, and the governance structure within which the EU develops capacity to meet and respond to such challenges.
