SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE IN FORENSIC ANTHROPOLOGY (P02348)

This course aims to provide an awareness of the methods of crime scene investigation and the role of the forensic anthropologist both in the laboratory and in the field. The course will include the location and retrieval of human remains from various contexts, the role of DNA analysis in personal identification and an understanding of how and when scientific techniques can be relevant to an investigation. Personal safety, including biohazard training, vaccinations, weapons and landmine awareness will also be taught.
