Chinese Language Advanced 2 (P02506)

This course is designed for students with a proficiency in Chinese allowing for exclusion from Chinese language classes for beginners. Students and supervisor will agree on a scholarly text in Chinese to be translated into English.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course students will have:
-further improved Chinese-English translation skills
-enlarged specialised vocabulary in a specific scholarly field.
-gained a profound understanding of Chinese scholarly discourse practices.

Assessment Information

One 4,000 word translation from Chinese into English
