The Finnish Language (SS0042)

A course introducing the central structures and features of the Finnish language, intended for language students. No prior knowledge of Finnish is necessary.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : Normally a pass in Danish 2 or Norwegian 2 or Swedish 2 at the first attempt.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

A good enough grasp of the basic structures of the language to provide a foundation for developing more advanced skills in both spoken and written skills.

Assessment Information

A 2-hour degree examination paper in the Final Honours diet (60%) and six items of continuous assessment done during semesters 1 and 2 (40%).
