Acronym : EDU-1-SSCA This half course will involve study of the historical development of sport, the codification of sport, the development of national, European and world sports organisations and specific sports developments in parts of Britain and Europe. Demonstrate a knowledge of the origins of modern sport; understand the development and codification of modern sport; understand the development of sporting bodies at national and world level; understand the specific developments of sport within Scotland, Britain and Europe; identify the policymakers, facilitators and deliverers of sport and their respective functions in Britain today.
