Archaeological Fieldwork (U00194)

? Credit Points : 20  ? SCQF Level : 10  ? Acronym : HCA-3-U00194

Archaeological Fieldwork is designed to enable the integration of field and practical work into the Signle Honours and Joint Honours curricula and to provide a mechanism for the assessment of the commitment, experience and expertise of students in these domains. The course aims to provide a bridge between the accummulation of data in archaeology, and its incorporation into wider syntheses. To place such work in its archaeological context and allow students to digest the importance of what they have experienced during the vacation and hence to relate field practical work to the theoretical concerns of the discipline.
