Demonstrate an understanding of the pathology underlying different medical disorders.
Demonstrate knowledge of the treatments and discuss the nurse's role in supporting the patient through medical and surgical procedures. Demonstrate an appreciation of the psychosocial and emotional implications of physical illness for the patient and the family. Explain how the normal physiology is altered in disease. Evaluate the literature relating to the treatment and care of patients with long-term illness. Assessment Information
