Politics and Management of Mental Illness (U00279)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : HEA-3-Pol&ManMI Students will examine the sociological, legal and political issues in psychiatric nursing care. This includes mental health policy, mental illness and the criminal justice system. Concepts such as age, racism, gender and social construction of mental illness will be addressed. Two course papers of 2,500-3,000 words OR one long course paper of 4000 - 4500 words.
