Structure of a Language B1 (U00531)

Detailed study of aspects of the linguistic structure of a given natural language with consideration of aspects of the language's use.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : English Language 2 (EN0003) or equivalent

? Prohibited combinations : This course may not be taken by students who have taken the courses it replaces.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

Be able to describe, analyse and interpret primary data; independently formulate and test hypotheses; identify and solve problems; quickly and accurately describe phonological, morphological, syntactic, semantic and/or social aspects of language structure within recognised frameworks of linguistic analysis.
