Re-Theorising Community: Implications for Democratic Citizenship (U00590)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : EDU-3-RCIDC The aim of the course is to re-examine the concept of community in the light of both current theoretical debates and the ubiquitous nature of social, economic, political and cultural change. Particular attention is paid to competing accounts of social reality offered by modernist and postmodernist paradigms. The relevance of these theoretical considerations to issues of community, citizenship and democracy is explored and assessed. Entry Requirements?
