? Pre-requisites : Performance and Keyboard 2

? Prohibited combinations : This course is not available to students on the BA Humanities and Social Science.

Delivery Information

? Normal year taken : 3rd year

? Delivery Period : Full Year (Blocks 1-4)

? Contact Teaching Time : 15 minutes per week for 22 weeks

? Additional Class Information : Taught in tutorial groups in Weeks 1,3,5,7,9,11. Students assigned to groups in Freshers Week.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

To encourage students to devise stylish continuo realisations from figured basses, and to create idiomatic piano transcriptions of orchestral scores. A fluency in reading C-clefs will also be fostered.

Assessment Information

One 30 minute class examination (25%) and one 30 minute degree examination (75%).
