Japanese Language Programme and Study Abroad 3 (Single) (U01730)? Credit Points : 100 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : LLC-3-U01730 Students will be required to spend a total of 30 weeks attending university in Japan and following a programme of approved study. They will normally participate in an exchange with one of our partner universities in Japan, where Japanese language classes for foreign students will form part of the curriculum. Entry Requirements? Pre-requisites : A pass at 55% at the first attempt, in both Japanese 2A and Japanese 2B, as well as passes in the other subjects comprising the curricula of the first and second years. ? Costs : Costs of travel to Japan and maintenance expenses while resident in Japan. The course aims to enable students to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Japanese language (developing their skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening) and culture through living and studying in Japan.
Assessment Information
An individual programme of study will be drawn up by the end of the student's second year. Assignments set out in this programme will form the basis of assessment for 60 of the 100 credits allocated to this course. The remaining 40 credits will be assessed through Japanese language-related coursework and examinations in year 4.
