Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

This course systematically develops the ability to recognise the register, meaning, and cultural import of a German text, and to render that text appropriately in English. Précis composition teaches the ability to recognise quickly essential information in a text and to summarize the text for the benefit of a third party.
