Inventiveness will be encouraged, while students will also be asked to carry out analyses and compositional exercises in various styles, using the works of past composers as sources and models. ? Students who complete this course satisfactorily will be expected to have:
- the ability to engage with a variety of musical styles through creative and technical projects and exercises; - the technical skills necessary to reproduce a number of past musical styles, particularly those of Palestrina, J.S. Bach, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn and Brahms. Assessment Information
