By the end of the course we would expect students to be able to:
*exhibit a solid grasp of key institutions and processes linking citizens to governments; *demonstrate knowledge of the processes surrounding the formulation of both domestic and foreign policies; *evaluate alternative explanations for particular political developments and events in the US; *make their own assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the US politics and policy.
