Its coverage includes legal theory, legal reasoning, the judicial process, law and justice, the sources of law, legal history, the administration of justice, jurisdiction and procedure.

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

To impart basic information about the legal system of Scotland; to help students develop basic legal skills; and to encourage students to think critically about the law.

Assessment Information

Coursework [10%], 2nd semester examination [90%]

Resit exam consitutes 100% of final mark in case of resit.
