Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Century American Women Writers (VS1) (U02990)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 10 ? Acronym : LLC-3-EL0032 This course participates in ongoing discussions about canonicity and literary history. The time period covered continues to 1920 since many texts published early in the Twentieth Century bridge the boundary of 1900 in style, theme or perspective. Crucial questions concerning social identity, genre and culture will be considered, together with the writers' self-identification and their attitudes towards their work. Entry Requirements? This course is only available to part year visiting students. ? This course is a variant of the following course : U02932 ? Pre-requisites : None required ? Special Arrangements for Entry : Numbers are limited to 15, with priority given to students taking degrees involving English or Scottish Literature and Visiting Students placed by the Admissions Office. Students not in these categories need the written approval of the Head of English Literature before enrolling. In the case of excess applications places will be decided by ballot. ?
