The Enlightenment in Scandinavia (Ordinary) (U03342)? Credit Points : 20 ? SCQF Level : 9 ? Acronym : LLC-3-SS The course traces the history of the Enlightenment in Scandinavia from its first appearance in the writings of Ludvig Holberg, via its manifestations in Fru Nordenflycht and Carl von Linni to its late flowering in the works of Henrik Wergeland and its fusion with pre-romanticism in Jens Baggesen. The emphases of the course will be placed on the development of ideas and on the common European background as well as on individual authors and works in their Scandinavian context. By the end of the course students will be expected to show the ability:
