Isotopes and Archaeology (U03367)

The course will provide an overview of theory and applications of key analytical techniques used in Environmental Archaeology, including 14C dating, 210Pb dating, luminescence techniques, cosmogenic isotopes, stable isotopes (13C, 15N, Sr), and pollen analysis.

Entry Requirements

? Pre-requisites : Archaeology 2A and 2B Visiting students must have prior study providing general background in prehistoric or proto-historic archaeology.

? Prohibited combinations : This course is not available to students on the BA Humanities and Social Science
