Community Education Professional Practice 2 (U03666)

? Credit Points : 20  ? SCQF Level : 8  ? Acronym : EDU-2-CEPP

During the second year of the BA Community Education programme students are required to complete the equivalent of 40 days practice in an appropriate professional setting or settings. The course is practice-based and will consider the way in which theory illuminates the problems and possibilities of practice whilst, at the same time, being itself extended by the challenges of making sense of social reality and making a difference in the real world. This will be regarded, in the course, as both an intellectual and a practical task. Students' practice may include paid work where the student is able to obtain suitable employment. A practice programme will be submitted by each student and will be subject to review at the mid-point of each term.
