Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The course aims to develop the student's skills in Chinese to an intermediate level in the following areas:
everyday and current affairs speaking and listening; reading short essays, fiction and journalism; writing simple essays and summaries, letters to family and friends; simple business letters. The course places language learning in the contemporary cultural context, through selection of material and classroom discussion of content, thus building appropriate intercultural skills appropriate to the student's level of proficiency. Continuous assessment 50%; Degree examination 50%.
