Course description Students will be required to spend a total of 30 weeks attending university in Japan and following a programme of approved study. They will normally participate in an exchange with one of our partner universities in Japan, where Japanese language classes for foreign students will form part of the curriculum.

Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: Japanese 2A (ASST08006) AND Japanese 2B (ASST08007)

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
The course aims to enable students to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Japanese language (developing their skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening) and culture through living and studying in Japan.
Assessment Information
An individual programme of study will be drawn up by the end of the student's second year. Assignments set out in this programme will form the basis of assessment for 60 of the 100 credits allocated to this course. The remaining 40 credits will be assessed through Japanese language-related coursework and examinations in year 4.
