Course description |
This option examines fictional texts from the revolutionary upheavals of the 1920s to the 1970s in China, in the light of twentieth-century leftist polemical writing. It traces the development of Communist Party policies on literature from the 1930s to the breakdown of party control during the Cultural Revolution. |
