- To explore and evaluate the trajectories of public management reform and their impact upon public services delivery
- To review the changing balance of the public, private and non-profit sectors in providing public services
- To consider the implications of the above for the provision and management of public services

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of this module, participants will be able to

- Introduce the key theoretical approaches to public management reform in a global context,
- Understand and explain how public management and public services provision is changing worldwide,
- Evaluate the relative contributions of the public, private and non-profit sectors to the provision of public services, and
- Develop a framework for the evaluation of public management reform
Assessment Information
The module will be assessed by a written assignment. This will address one of a number of broad topics and is intended to be 'customised' to the interests of the student. The maximum length of this paper is 3,000 words.
