Course description This course will consist in a series of lectures provided by faculty members from within the Business School as well as guest speakers from outside Edinburgh University, each of whom is distinguished by his/her ability to provide insight into the business issues in a particular emerging market. It is expected that students will gain insight into the applications of theories, concepts and models of international business (IB) in emerging markets. A comparative approach, in which students assess a particular set of business issues within two emerging economies, enables students to differentiate generic issues from more context-specific issues and to examine country-specific challenges and opportunities for a business operation in an in-depth manner.
